I have a food truck and have times when one person is going to pay for a group of people. For instance, we partner with a healthcare group to sit outside their office and serve their people. The group pays for all of their people's meals and they would like to do that in one check.
The only way I've been able to do this is setup a custom discount group with 100% discount. I run all the orders through there so that we can process them through our kitchen printer. Once we're completed, I have to re-enter all the orders into 1 order so that it can be paid with a single credit card. It's problematic because there's no way to get to the details of that discount group, I have to look at all the transactions. It becomes especially troublesome when we have other people come up and order that aren't part of the group.
I've been trying to figure out how I might be able to use a bar tab setup but I can't seem to find anything on that. I'm wondering if anyone else has hit this issue and what their fix was for it?
