We sell wings. And we upcharge if you want to order them seasoned. Say the customer wants 12 wings, 6 cajun and 6 ranch, my seasoning charge on my modifier multiplies it by 6 for each flavor, essentially adding 12$ to the total and not a one time upcharge. How do I set it up that that is a one time add on charge and not charging it for every single wing in my modifiers?
Hi there @Parnellwilliams. So, strictly speaking, that is not possible -- at least not the way I think you are entering your wings. If you are adding an item called "Wings" and then entering a quantity, the modifier additional price is added for each one. In order to do what you want, Square would have to add more functionality to modifier sets, which means you'd have to submit a feature request here. This is another example of more complex modifier set functions that many of us have been asking for recently, so maybe/hopefully it could be added to the pile. In the short term, I only have one possible work-around.
You have to create a new item called "Wing Seasoning." It would have your seasoning modifier set attached to it. Obviously, this is not perfect since servers would have to remember to add that item to the transaction immediately after they added Wings. But, it would work.
Otherwise, can you just simplify your uncharge to a per-wing uncharge for each seasoning? Honestly, this would be the path of least resistance for now.
Sorry I can't be of more help here.
