Is it possible to track combined inventory across variations of a product?

Hi,

I'm working on setting up my online store or handling take out orders at my food cart and am wondering if there's a way to track combined inventory across variations of a product. Specifically in our case, we sell fried chicken drumsticks by either the 1lb or 2lb pack but they all come out of the same inventory of chicken so I want to track the overall quantity and not each variation separately.

Right now, the feature you're asking about isn't available in the Item Library. This is excellent feedback for this. I can see the need for sellers that have a similar business. We are always striving to incorporate seller needs with our continuous product development.
