In an online coffee shop, how can a customer enter the number of sugars per coffee?

We want to be able to hand the customer coffee with the number of sugars they want, so adding a modifier will show they want sugars, but we want them to enter how many, per coffee, they may have several coffees per order.

Any suggestions?

Good question!

For Square Online site items, you can create a List Type Modifier and name this 'Sugar'. To start, simply select an item from your site items list and scroll down to where it says Modifiers > click Manage modifiers. Choose the option to select from a list and name your checklist. To add in the list of modifiers (e.g. 1 sugar, 2 sugar), simply Add a choice and select Done. You can continue to repeat this step until you have the required amount of choices for this modifier list.

When you're finished, clicked Save and you'll return to the Manager modifiers page. To ensure this modifier is applied to the item, make sure the box is ticked, then click Done.
