I no longer have the ability to create Favorites for the home screen of my Terminal. Where is this functionality hidden? All I want to do is have a category of items appear as a favorites in my terminal. Simple. That ability seems to have been removed?
 
		
		
		
		
		
	
			It is still there, just hold your finger down on an item on your favorites and it will go into editing mode. You can only have 20 on the screen so maybe you hit your limit as ours is at the limit right now. I just deleted a favorite and added a category so it definitely still works.

That option does not exist. I have 6 existing favorite categories (events for me which contain the menus for those events). I have no option to remove those categories or to add new ones. I can create menus, and categories but I can not make a category a "favorite" so that appears on my favorites tab on the Square terminal.

Currently, the ability to add categories to the favorites grid is not available within Square for Retail on Square Terminal, and is a feature request at this time. We don't have any updates to share on this at the moment, but we’ll continue to track feedback and provide any updates if we hear of any changes.
In the meantime, our Retail Team suggests using the item browse path to search within categories:

			The entire favorites grid on square terminal is now gone for us.. why?
We took the time to create favorites that we sell often and it was taken away and I just can't seem to figure it out.
Worse- we run 3 square registers and 2 still have the favorites grid and 1 is the newer update.. this is maddening.

			check the os and app version.  maybe somehow it is a weird spot.  I had a couple weeks ago that I could check a square gift card balance by swiping, but it would fail every time trying to redeem saying some error.  I finally restarted the square app and it worked.  super weird because obviously it was able to read the card.
More - settings - general-about - check for updates.  maybe there is something.  
If no updates I would do a factory reset right from that screen.
we ran over 1,800 transactions between terminals and new iPads in the newer square stand Saturday and Sunday and it was rock solid.  I gave up on old square stands with old iPad airs they just weren't able to go anymore.
