After recent updates the checkout screen changed . Cash back due from sale is now tiny and I have to squint to read it. It was perfect before. My 70 yr old eyes cant read the current text that small. HELP!

Unfortunately at this time there is not a way to revert the screen back to how it was.
A function that may be helpful for this situation is our magnification option. Once this is enabled, you are able to triple-tap the main display screen with one finger to enlarge the display. This is available on the Square Terminal and Square Handheld, or the main display on your Square Register.
To enable magnification, please follow these steps:

I'm using a Square Stand with an Ipad. The above option is not available. This really is a horrible update. I have to get like a foot away from the screen to read the change amount due. What is Square thinking...did they test it themselves (I'm thinking they did not.)

I am sorry to hear this, @StuartC. I went ahead and sent your feedback over to the corresponding teams on this. We are continually looking for ways to improve our products, and hearing feedback like this is incredibly important.

Agreed. It’s as if there are no actual every day users testing UI changes.
I just want to implore the Square engineers to enlarge the size of the rendered change to a legible one. It is absolutely enraging that such a tiny display of information is presented to me. Please, Make it larger. From my account there have been two additional updates to fix bugs since the final checkout screen was changed with no improvement to this simple request.
Why can’t this be implemented?
I would also like to leave a reply that I could not find this magnification option via settings on my iPad using square for retail.
It is important for square to understand that the register needs to keep the return change amount in a larger/bolder font to be easily seen while helping customers. It slows down transaction time to have to squint and hunt for the change amount. The end screen after taking cash used to be much clearer/cleaner for the seller to use before this latest update.
I just wanted to comment to agree with @StuartC. The UI changes in the last update are not great at all. I use the Square Register and the text is smaller and the fonts that are now being used are far less clear.
I also want to leave a comment on this topic. It’s absolutely frustrating to see what was paid in bold while the change due back to the customer is tiny and regular. My drawer has been off two days in a row now because of this update. When moving quickly the eye catches bold first rather than the change due. Not a good update. 100% FAIL. This needs to change ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
