How do I print a gift receipt for a SINGLE/MULTIPLE ITEMS on a transaction vs the ENTIRE TRANSACTION? Having to ring up items needing gift receipts separately would be inconvenient.
 
		
		
		
		
		
	
			Hey @Gav - right now, gift receipts can only be sent for the whole transaction, not on an item level.

If the transaction includes 3 items, does the gift receipt show each item (by sku number)?
If so, I can print out the gift receipt and manually highlight the item that the gift receipt is actually for.
If not, I plan to do the following work around: I plan to create my own gift receipt manually (outside of the system). I plan to write down the receipt number and the sku number if the gift item. If the gift item is returned, I can look up the transaction by entering the receipt number and select the appropriate item for refund.
Will this work? Please note that I have the regular Square POS and the Square Terminal. I do NOT have the Square for Retail app.
 
		
		
		
		
		
	
			Hey @Gav - the only way the sku would be visible is if you include it in the item name.
For now, you'll need to go with the workaround you mentioned above. Thanks for being flexible while we work to improve the gift receipt feature. You're helping our Sellers a ton by voicing your ideas and proactively thinking of other solutions that work for your biz.

But will each item’s full name print out on the gift receipt or is there a character limit on this?

Right, SKUs are not visible on printed, digital, or gift receipts. The only way to find them is within the item library by clicking an item to edit.
As far as a character limit, I haven't tested that out so I don't know for sure but I can ask around. I'll be back when I learn more!
