How to add gift cards as a payment method on Square Register?

hi

 

i turned off the option on POS restaurant app to be able to pay with a gift card a couple of months ago

 

i would like now to turn it back on but i cant work out how

 

i am able to create gift cards and sell them but I cant work out how to turn on the setting so the customer can spend a gift card at the till

Hey @BECCACAFE, nice to see you again in the Seller Community. 

 

It sounds like you may have disabled Gift Cards as a payment type, to re-enable it you would need to the Square Point of Sale app, rather than the restaurant's app. 

 

If you don't have the Point of Sale app, here it is for Apple & Android

 

From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap More.

Tap Settings > Checkout > Payment Types.

To rearrange, drag and drop by tapping the three horizontal lines next to the Payment Type name.

After that try signing out and back into your Restaurants app.
