How do you turn off the reopen checks option or how do you change it back to the defult setting?

I turned on the reopen checks option and now I can't get rid of it. I need to go back to looking at my sales in real-time vs having to wait until the end of day. Please let me know how to turn this option off.

Hi @Pondo  - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community👋 I've moved your post over to the Square for Restaurants board

 

You are able to remove the ability for certain employees to reopen checks using Permissions, but I am not aware of any setting that would disable this altogether, unless you were to downgrade to the free version of Square for Restaurants.


However, switching the Reopen Checks setting to Reopen and Remove will make it so your sales are finalized and reflected in your reports in real-time. You would also need your device settings to be configured to collect signatures and tips on the device and not a paper receipt, or else those sales will be in an uncaptured state until the tips are settled. You may be interested in the Live Sales feature if you prefer viewing the overall performance of a shift in real-time.
