I am new to square. Currently have retail plus.
All of my products I sell have a brand and part number and most have a sku/barcode. I scan the bar code and it somewhat auto populates, but there not is actual box for the brand or the part number.
My inventory consists of auto and marine parts. Any others out there that sell similiar items with and actual brand name and part number as well as a bar code? How do you set it up?
Brand you could have as Vendor
Part-Number you could have as SKU since you are already putting the GTIN in from the Scan able Barcode.
I see you already have the Part Number in the Name, did you try Searching for 18-7919 since it is in the Name it should show up also with out adding it in the SKU.

Notice the yellow bar at the top giving me a Warning that I used that GTIN already.... 4 times so far. For the main one you Sell put something in the Variation Name to make sure you Select that one. Because when you scan that GTIN a Pop up will come up asking you which one of these 4 items. If you sell online I do not believe you can do this using GTIN but the SKU is unique and might be able to be used if you Sell these online. My online is not through Square so I can not test this.
When I was on my Dashboard or on the App if I search for 18-7919 this is what I will get:
Opps I forgot to put Sierra in for the Vendor for the one you actually Sell. I used the Same GTIN for them all since you only sell the Sierra one.

Hope this helps. I just made up a price etc to fill that in. You may also want to play with If sellable or not for the ones you do not stock but need as a reference. I did not test that aspect.
