Our Toast KDS took 1-2 seconds to show the orders, since moving to Square our orders take ~20-30 seconds to appear on our KDS. This can really jam up service as we try to get orders out in <1 minute.
How can I minimize that delay? Would an ethernet cable help?
We use Ipads for our KDS and we do have a delay (or lost orders) due to a lag in the internet signal. It is very frustrating. We are a food truck and just something we have to deal with. If you have the ability to run a wired network it should improve your situation.
