How do I include the table number in the order?

I can't find any way to add the table number when taking an order. I have put them in under customers, but that will make the system think that we have multiple returning customers in a day.

 

We take orders, and most customers pay, at the register. The meals are then taken to the table.

Have you enabled order tickets for your Point of Sale yet? You can do this by following these steps:

 

1. Tap More > Settings > Checkout > Order tickets.

2. From here, select "Enter customer number or name"

 

Next, tap the arrow to go back to Settings and tap Hardware > Printers. Select your printer and ensure that In-person order tickets are turned on.

I couldn't find 'Checkout' , or 'More'.

You can find the "More" option by tapping the 3 lines in the sidebar menu, @Lynne_M. You're using a Square Register, right?

I found it. I was looking in the Dashboard, not the register itself. All is in order. Thanks. I'm still setting it up. It's taking a while because I have to transfer everything over from our current register, and you have so many options I have to keep going back and changing things. My staff are so excited, they can't wait to use it. We still have to arrange some cabling so that we can use two printers, and then we should be in business.

Hi Did you resolve your issue with table number setting? I have same problem now and did exactly same method here but still getting no pop up to input table numbers…

Hi, I solved the problem by installing Square for Restaurants. It gives you a table plan and the ability to input the numbers.
