How do I get in stock items to appear before out of stock items

I sell one of a kind items, so would like the items to remain up on my website even after they have sold so customers can see previous work and the purchaser can leave a review of the specific item. Is there a way to get items that are in stock to appear to the customer ahead of out of stock/sold items as they are scrolling through the website?

I assume you mean this without having to make the out of stock items invisible? 

There's a workaround to arrange your items listed in this thread by another seller @monasianmarket that could do the trick.

If not unfortunately there's not another suggestion I can offer at this time aside from making those out of stock items not visible anymore.
