How can I switch from a retail menu to quick serve

We presently have our bakery/coffee shop menu setup as square retail. We are wondering the advantages of the "quick Serve" menu and how easy it is to transfer our menu and history to it?

Hi @grannyscotts, thank you for your post. These are both great questions!

To go over both briefly with main differences, Quick-service mode (QSR) is closer to a traditional POS layout. You are able to tap pre-set combos for a fast food order or assign a number for pickup or table delivery.

While with Retail, this mode focuses on quick checkout and inventory management. For example, if you own a clothing store, you are able to process exchanges, look up customer history, and reorder low-stock items right from the POS.

Here is a bit more information on both of these, if you would like to take a look.

A suggestion I might have for you, is you are welcome to use QSR mode and Retail mode and test them out on your POS to give them a chance to explore all of the features, before you totally switch from one to another.
