Hi,
I created several subscription plans and attached an item for each one based on the price. But how exactly do I charge someone for a subscription?

@gholder In addition to selling your Subscriptions online, you can create and manage subscription plans for customers to subscribe to through QR codes, and your social media pages as well. You can learn more about managing and utilizing Item Subscription Plans, here, in our Support Center.

Subscription items are kind of an oddity in the Square universe. They are only available for sale via your business's square website: you can not even access the items from your point of sale. On top of that, they're only available for shipping, not pickup or delivery.
I assume this is because of how the item looks to your system. It's basically a customer-facing way to set up recurring invoices. Flow-wise, it's "easier" to have the customer handle the setup of the subscription via the website.
Square's Subscription offerings are bare-boned at best. If you're looking for more customization and control I recommend looking into a third party integration via the App Marketplace on the dashboard.
