Slowly getting the hang of the new Item and Variation creation interface and am finally not hating it - BUT - I add new variations almost daily (Record Shop and the Artists are the Items with each album being a Variation). Ever since the change when I go to Add new variations the new SKUs are automatically generated (which I want) but after saving and moving to the next item to add new variations the new SKUs auto-fill with the same SKUs as the prior item and save as duplicates. I don't catch this until we've already stocked and labeled and scan at checkout and get a duplicate SKU error. Best case we have to create a new SKU and re-label one set of items. Any ideas aside from turning off auto-generate and letting them create at label creation (what I'm doing for now)?
I'm seeing this same behavior - duplicate SKUs when using the autogenerate feature, but only after the new Item and Variation interface went live. I haven't narrowed down the exact flow that causes it, but I ended up with 16 duplicates after creating maybe 50 or so items / variations. I tried to report the bug through the AI assistant chatbot thing, but have no confidence this actually opened a ticket...
Same here, and the chatbot just keeps telling me to look for a feedback popup that may or may not come up. That's how to report an error? Just absolute slop. Also why is sharing issues with each other in an echo chamber the main recourse for a service we're all paying for? This system is getting less reliable every week.
