Displaying prices for items that are out of stock or "made to order".

Is there a way I can display the prices for all variations of my items even when some of the variations are out of stock?

I sell hair extensions and have the items created by Colour, as there are 30 colours and 6 lengths available per colour.

I have 6 Variations. (16" to 26")

I only stock certain colours and certain lengths of each colour, but all is available to order.

Square/Weebly seems like if the variation is out of stock it will display that variation, but it simply says out of stock and no price and unable to order it.

I would like clients to be able to see prices and purchase anything on my website even if out of stock, as more than half of what I have on my website is special order.

But I would like my clients to see what is in stock, so that they know they can purchase it and have it shipped/picked up within the hour.

Should I have this set up in a completely different way?

Thanks!

Hello there @MackSauce ,

Thanks for reaching out and joining The Seller Community! We are happy to have you 😊. This is a great question but I am not sure there is a way to remove the "out of stock" notification and still have sellers purchase. I am confirming with Square Online and will reach out with an update. Thanks for holding on!

I spent a good time on the phone with Weebly/Square and it seems that there is no way for out of stock items to be purchased. The problem I’m having is that all my in stock items are available to purchase and be picked up/shipped next day. Anything out of stock, is a special order but I still want my customers to check out and see prices whether or not it is in stock or not! If the items are out of stock, and there are variations, the price under the variations will not display. The work around is to add items individually under categories & not manage stock on any of these items and edit the fulfillment times. This is much more work but the only work around.
So, if I have the item in stock, I would edit it to have a custom fulfillment time (next business day) and anything out of stock, would have a 3 week fulfillment. Square needs to fix this as I see on these forums that it’s been an issue since 2018!

Thanks for reaching out and confirming @MackSauce! We are making changes to our feature request process, so I would ask you to submit a request on our Ideate Board, where we will be tracking and updating these requests. We understand that it might be difficult waiting for something to be built out. We field thousands of feature requests each week here on the Seller Community, and bringing these features to fruition often takes an ample amount of time and effort from our engineers. We want to ensure that our releases are not just surface-level products, but the best all-around resources to help you grow your business. To learn more about how feature requests work, please see this post (squ.re/Ideate-Commuity) from one of our Seller Community Moderators. We appreciate your feedback and please let us know if there is anything else we can do!
