Is there a way to easily add a customer to a sale, such as scanning a customer ID number? OR Is there a way to add a discount automatically to a certain customer group?

Both of these are great questions, but they are feature requests for Square Point of Sale.
Currently we do not have the ability to scan a barcode or customer number to add a customer to a sale. Also our discounts can be automatically applied to an item or category.
You might be able to create an item for your customer groups and setup an automatic discount so it applies to the entire sale. 😀

Hey! I've merged your post to an existing thread. This is currently a feature request. You cannot have a discount to be only used by a certain customer group, but you can email that group a discount code through Square Marketing. Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
