Hello @SarahYCJ thanks @MayaP for the mention. There are several ways you could handle consignment sales. There are a few Square integrations that some sellers use to mange consignments with different vendors in their store. Try searching the Square App marketplace for something to help with this. In the past some Apps of note have been called Rose, Ricochet, and Best.

You can also "manually" do this by assigning each artist/vendor their own categories in your item list, and then create new items for each vendor under their assigned categories. You can run reports to see payouts for them.

There is also a third party product that works really well for vendors to administer and manage their own inventories, and when you sell in store, their inventories are updated in real time. Check it out here: https://mvpofsales.com tell them you heard about them from Homestyle Charlie! I think you'll still process payments directly with your POS for Square, but this product will allow for managing your inventory.

I hope these suggestions might help with your business. Good luck to you and welcome to the Square Community!

Hi @SarahYCJ. Welcome to the community!

We personally do not do consignment. However, there are several sales reports you can run in Square to figure out what has sold and vendors to payout.

For example:

Reports -> Item Sales can show you what items have sold over a selected period.

Reports -> Category Sales can also be used. Perhaps you want to make each vendor a Category.

But then again:

Inventory Reports -> Vendor Sales is also available.

I think so long as you pay out your vendors regularly (weekly, monthly), it is easy to keep track and run the appropriate reports.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi @SarahYCJ

Welcome to the seller community...I actually had consignment sales last year....I set each vendor up with their own category and priced the item in my inventory to show the % I charged....Feel free to message me if you have any other questions.
