Compatible iPads with Square for Retail

Can you tell me which IPad versions work with Square for a retail? I am just getting started. What do I need to know? We have a small boutique.

This is a great question! Are you referring to the actual iPad hardware version that we would recommend, or are you more-so curious about which iOS software is compatible? 

According to recommendations on the App Store, Square for Retail is currently compatible with any device that can run iOS 12.0 or later. If you looking for which actual iPad hardware versions can currently run iOS 12.0, I would take a look here.
