Can you alter a transaction once it's placed via Square for Restaurants?

The title of this thread has been altered from the original.

We sometimes have customers that add comments to their order that add an additional cost to their order.  For example, they ask for extra bananas in the comment section instead of selecting it in the add ons.  Is it possible to alter their transaction after they have placed their order?

Hi there, @cfuller 👋 Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community! Happy to hear from you again!

Good question! Yes, you can update the status of multiple orders or print multiple orders at once. To do so:

  1. Head to the Orders tab of your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Edit Orders and select each order that you would like to edit.
  3. Click Mark as complete for orders that have been completed.
  4. Provide a tracking number and carrier name for each shipment order > press Save. Click Skip if you do not want to provide this information or if it is not required.
  5. Select Done editing once you are finished updating your orders.

Once your orders are updated, you’ll see the Status column update accordingly.

Feel free to check out this helpful resource also, if need be!

I hope this information is helpful! Feel free to reach back out if you have any clarifying questions! We are here to help.
