Can't apply multiple discount to a sale transaction

I need to be able to apply the same discount code which a fixed dollar amount for each sales line raised, however, I am only able to apply it once. This is very frustrating for our customers who purchase multiple line items but I have to enter each one as a single sale to apply the discount.

Imagine having one transaction with 10 sales items and not being able to apply a fixed dollar amount to them eg, 10 x $2.50(discount). I cant have $0.00 for variable amount because I need to track the total line discounts given. The odd thing is I can apply multiple discounts if they are of different types but can only apply one of the fixed dollar amount.

Why not allow a quantity box for such a discount like there is for sales items? If there isn't a solution, this needs be implemented asap. I'm not impressed that this can't be done. 

I've already spoken with support and they couldn't find a solution.

The discount rules you're describing here would be considered a Feature Request at this time. In this case, I recommend visiting our Ideate Board to see if there's an existing thread that aligns with your requirements. If there is, please add your comments to support it by detailing how it would positively impact your business. If there isn’t, feel free to create a new feature request and invite other Sellers to share their thoughts.

In the meantime, you could consider creating separate items with different price points. For example:

• “Cappuccino” ($4)
• “Cappuccino - Discounted” ($1.50)

Appreciate that the discount rules you’ve outlined in your post would certainly be preferred, however, this method would allow you to manually add multiple items to the checkout at the discounted item-level prices that you’re looking for.
