Can I leave my square terminal with a merchant such that it stays logged into my POS account?

I own a vintage clothing business and have been using the basic square reader connected to my phone to take payments at markets and events. I will be selling my items in a brick and mortar store that I don't work at and won't be around often to personally accept payments.

I am wondering: if I purchase the square terminal, can I log in to my POS directly on the terminal and leave it signed in for an extended time with the store's staff so that they can sell my items directly through my account on my terminal? or does the terminal require a connected device to remain logged in to my POS?

As far as I know the square terminal is designed to be used as a standalone device or a companion device - it can be setup for a main user account to be logged into the device, such as yours & can also after that, it can be configured to use a user pin like the POS. for different user identification

I don't currently use the terminal but am very familiar with square design choices across their platform, happy to help you figure this out
