We are a bar and I'd like to receive and track our inventory in bottles. We however only sell by the shot or drink. I can't seem to find a way to configure bottles as the inventory unit with drinks as the selling unit. When I set the bottle variation as not for sale and for internal use only, it no longer shows up within the inventory screen when scanning the upc.
If I set both bottle and drink variants as for sale, it can then be seen when scanning the upc on the inventory screen. However, when the bartenders select the item from the menu it prompts them to select the variation which creates an extra step and slows them down.
The way the square item creation process is setup and worded it seems like this should be possible, but it seems like it is not being processed correctly on their end.
