Best Printer to use printing labels from Register System

I am looking for the best printer to use with the Square Register to print labels directly from my Register.  They said zebra410, but I see it is being discontinued.  What printers do you all use and what labels and size of labels work with the printer?

@jacdzg2 ;

I actually do not print my labels from my POS machines. Since they are located in the front of my store.  I use 5 different Zebra label Printers attached to a computer to print barcode labels for orders we will receive and for items we produce.  I use all Zebra 420 series printers which can print up to 4 inches wide.  The only drawback with my system is that it does not connect to Squares catalog.  So on my computer I downloaded Squares catalog of my items. setup one of my Zebra printers for the type of label I will use, and made a template to fill in Squares information.  This way I can make my own custom labels with optional text that Square does not offer, or fonts or types of barcodes.  Now for $300 I can upgrad my printer software to attach or pull data from a csv file.   I believe Dymo label printers can do this with their software.  The other reason I use a Stand alone computer to print labels is because there are alot of sizes I can choose from.   Now if Zebra is stopping the ZD410 they may just be coming out with a newer version which will work with Square.  You could always contact them for more information about that.

Currently the labels I use for my Square Stands Barcode readers are 1x1.5, 1.25x2.25, .5x2.20 Barbell / Dumbell / Jewlery, and 2 different size oval Custom labels I get from a local printer with my Branding on them.  I also order my plain white price tags in custom size rolls to save on the per piece of each label.  Meaning my Barbell labels normally come in rolls of 4500 and 4 inch diameter, I order 8 inch diameter rolls with 10,000 on each roll.

From what I see on Squares Hardware site has a ZD411 printer that is compatible with Square Register  : zebra-zd411-barcode-label-printer

The ZD411 would be limited by Square for the labels that are compaible with in its size constraints.  Meaning the ZD411 can print on labels in length from .25 - 39 inches, and a width of .585 - 2.20 inches wide.  This is according to their specs for this model:

products/spec-sheets/printers/desktop/zd411-series.html

According to Square these are the sizes of labels Square formats its labels to print on: 6093-create-and-print-bar-code-labels-with-square-for-retail

Fair warning from my research Zebras are a top quality thermal printers, and as such also are priced accordingly.  This is what I learned before buying my 5.  Dymo label printers are also good but require specialty labels.  I found out I can use Roll labels or Fan Folded labels for my zebras, but when doing so they do not fit inside the Printer and sit on a stand I got off of amazon.
