Anyone else not seeing Balance in Transactions in Square for Retail on Register? the link shows up but when you click it says unavailable try again. this is build 6.63sw. it shows up on my other register running build 6.62sw.

I haven't seen other reports of this happening. Have you been able to do any of our troubleshooting steps here?
Tried a few of them. Signed out and back in, restarted the register. Can’t really delete the Square for Retail off the Square Register and reinstall. It’s definitely a bug in build 6.63sw though. I have 2 registers. 1 was running build 6.62sw and the balance was showing just fine. It updated to 6.63sw the other day and now it’s the same issue as the first one
Got it! I will work to escalate this quickly. I do not have a Square Register to test, but could you share a screenshot of the experience in 6.63?

Thanks for this image. I was always wondering why ppl in the forum kept saying balance on the Transactions Screen. I use Square stands and do not have the portion circled in green below. This could be because I do not have Square checking, or a setting to keep employees from Clicking it a doing an Instant Transfer.
Up until a couple of months ago we actually had the ability to hit the more button on the register then balance to see what was going to be transferred at cob, I don’t have Square savings or checking either but it was handy to be able to get a quick look at cash flow. It’s always been available in transactions because Square used it to push instant transfer so they could make the extra percentage on the transactions. And yes it makes sense that you might not have it if you have team members settings to limit what employees can see. I am a 1 man band so my log in is for everything
I always use the More > Report > Sales to see the amount of my daily sales. Not sure if I had a Balance but thought there was before, so sounds like a setting as I have me, partner and my son at the POS. I limit our one account that we sign in on as much as possible to keep Accident Instant Transfers because of the added fee.
I was just realizing that depending on which hardware ppl use there could be differences in wording even for the same app just on different hardware or settings. Would be nice to have the same wording but Link goes Access Denied or something.
Yeah you can see daily sales with the report button but the balance shows you the total after fees are subtracted. Like I said it’s handy for cash flow. The Square POS app still shows balance so definitely something wonky in this build for register. POS has balance under more button. If you’re getting access denied then you have it set to not display
