It is no longer possible to access the Site Visibility setting of an existing item:
You can see that the Site Visibility dropdown is not accessible.
Please fix this ASAP as we cannot set site visibility of our items which is rather critcial to our business!
We are having absolute massive problems with the new update too. Variations are messed up if you have more that one on an item. Units of how you sell things aren't able to be edited anywhere. Everything is so funky. I hate when they do updates they always cause so many problems!
Hi @arboristsupply - thank you for your feedback. We are working on making the units more apparent in the item edit sheet. Could you share more info about what you are experiencing with items that have more than one variation?
Exact same issue on our site. Now we have to go to ITEM LIST to update visibility. This is an unnecessary step and prone to errors.
Setting ITEM VISIBILITY by default has the following issues.
- Wine bottle for sale; 99% offered online.
- Wine by-the-glass; NOT Offered online.
I would love to know the logic behind this change.
Hi @WineSneak ,
We'd like to ensure that the process to remove an item for sale on your online store is as simple as it was before the change. We're working on a few changes, but I also want to be sure that we're supporting you right now.
> Even with SITE VISIBILITY set to UNLISTED, items are STILL appearing on our website!!!
UNLISTED items are the same as what was previously named "HIDDEN" -- not UNAVAILABLE. So they are still available for purchase, though shouldn't show up in your "Shop All" page. Please do let us know if that is happening, because if that's happening, there's likely a bug.
In order to ensure your items do not show up at all, anywhere, on your online store, you must remove them from the online channel.
You can do so on an individual item sheet as described in this article under "Assign items to online sales channels" by deselecting the online store channel checkbox. Or, you can do so in bulk from the Item Library by selecting multiple items and clicking the bottom bar Actions -> Update sales channels.
> Setting ITEM VISIBILITY by default has the following issues.
We do allow to set the default for your channel assignment and visibility by going to Items > Settings > Item defaults. This applies for new items at time of creation.
We do only allow channel assignment at the item-level, though nothing has changed there recently. If that level of granularity is important to you, I'm happy to take that feedback back to the team!
Please let me know if I can help further.
Yes, default is set to UNLISTED yet every item we enter with inventory shows up on our online store.
@WineSneak Can you clarify an example item? I'd be happy to take a look. To be clear, Unlisted items can still appear on your online store and that is intentional.
Even with SITE VISIBILITY set to UNLISTED, items are STILL appearing on our website!!!
