Anyone using Flash Order? (UK)

Would like to pick the brains of anyone using Flash Order in the UK. 

No matter what I do I can’t get it to work sensibly…

Following - I can't even sign up to a subscription and no locations are pulling through. Waiting on a reply from their support team.

Nope, totally gave up. 

I only got a support email back when some Square staff got involved. 

Nothing on it seems to just work, so it’s not for me. Holding out for a better option for the UK market, in the meantime using the QR code ordering has been my go to.

I've actually just had a response from them and they've said there are limitations in the UK so it has to be paired with a Terminal, not a Stand which is annoying. I have a spare one so will see if I can give it a go.

I've heard rumours that Square Kiosk is coming to the UK at the end of the month but I've got a 24h snack stand in an office we were supposed to have started months ago and am being pressured into getting it done this week which is fun. Only needs to be a very basic solution at least so hope it can handle that. Hopefully the Square one does come and is much easier to use than this!

QR for the win! 

although you’ll have the 25p per transaction on there there’s no monthly charge. 

then you’ve not gotta invest a lot of time into something else if your sources are right.

You make an excellent point… I can suck up the 25p charge for not having to go through this hassle!

I had considered trying to just use the Square POS and Stand with a dummy staff ID on minimal permissions, and whilst fairly intuitive I know what some of the office people are like 😅 also figured there would be some term and condition I’d be breaking so that idea left my head pretty quickly!

Thanks for the suggestion - I’ll let you know if I hear anymore on the Square Kiosk!

Hey @Lou8 - I was beta testing. No SMS order updates in the UK totally kills it as an option or recommendation.
