all my item descriptions disappeared after I enabled the sync. All I wanted was to sync from Square online to Square, but instead it did it the other way. Is there a way to get my data back? Or do I have to re enter everything?

Oh no, sorry to hear this happened. Our system does not offer a backup to recover item descriptions, you will have to enter your information once more.
