2 locations each w/ different bank accounts, but inventory error on website when 1 location used

Hi!  I'm hoping this is an easy one as I've spent hours trying to fix with no resolution.  Here's the situation:

  • I have 2 locations set up.
  • Each location has its own bank account.
  • I have a website and would like to only use 1 location so sales/payments go to a specific bank account.
  • When I select only one location for an item, I get the error message at checkout "(The item is not sellable at the order location available) has exceeded available inventory.  Please adjust quantity to continue to checkout."  I do not have quantity limitations set up.  However, if I select both locations for an item, the error message does not appear.

What setting to I need to adjust so I can use just 1 location/a specific bank account?
