working with multiple domains

I have built a Square Online site and connected a .co.uk domain to Square address 199.34.228.164

I now want to close my legacy site with another hosting supplier, and use the .com domain to connect to Square. I want the .com domainto be the primary and forward the .co.uk domain.

When I tried to connect the .com domain to Square, it seems to have dropped the .co.uk from Online>Website>Domains>3rd-Party Domains.

Is this expected and do I need to configure the domain forwarding with my external hosting supplier?

Totally as expected.

With your 3rd party domain register you can set up a redirect within the DNS settings (they should have a guide that walks you through it). You'll have the option to set it as a permanent or temporary - both do the same job but if you pick the permanent option then it'll also index with the search engines too as directing to the new site so probably the better option.
