On the checkout page, Square/Weebly offers the option to "Stay in Touch: send me offers and updates via text." This option cannot be disabled or edited. Just a heads up that Square is collecting our customers' phone numbers under the guise that we'll be sending them offers and updates.
Also, even if you opt into a text messaging plan (currently $10 per month plus additional fees depending on how many phone numbers Square has collected from your site...without giving you the permission to disable or edit this feature), know that customers can respond to your texts, but you can't see their responses. So they think they're texting your business...who refuses to respond to them.
Thanks for the update. I was just trying to figure out how to disable this annoying "feature". It's awful.
