coupon code invalid

I have created a coupon in square online for use with gift card sales online - I have done this in the past with no issues, however today, after a few tries the code is not working and shows as invalid.  Has anything changed in the past little bit?  Any system issues?

Please make sure you created the code through the promotions tab:

To create a promotion:

1. Go to Square Dashboard> Gift Cards > eGift Cards in Square Dashboard.
2. Click Promotion > Create Code.
3. Select whether you’d like to offer a dollar amount or percentage discount. If you’re offering a percentage discount, you have the option to set a maximum discount amount. For dollar amount discounts, you have the option to set a minimum load amount.
4. Click Save.

To discontinue a promotion, toggle the Enable button off.

If you are still having issues please reply back with picture of error code. And what coupon code you are using.
