I need to collect $70 from 50 people. I need to set up a payment link to send an email that requests $70 plus, the 3.3% charge and .30 cent fee. This amount would be $72.61. How do I get this full amount collected, including the additional $2.61 being collected. The link only lets me put in one dollar amount.
Same issue with the tap pay. How to I have the total price include fees.
To clarify, I can't figure how I can collect the exact amount from members. I need $70 plus fees, whether by POS or sending email with pay link. Could someone walk me through both options?
Example, If I collect $71.97, then 2.6% and .15cents fee would be added to this. If I only collect $70, I would be short the $1.76
I am not good with tech, and it was no probably using square when my organization absorbed the fee but in this case we need the member to pay fee
Hey @chapterJ ,
I'm fairly certain that currently Square don't support automatic surcharging processed through online sales (including invoices and payment links). However you should be able to set it up as a surcharge, but failing that, consider adding it to the cost of the item and calling it "item name + card fee" $72.61?
Not sure if that answers your question or not.
