I sell event tickets for a dinner theater and would like to know if there is a way to streamline the process.
Lets say customer wants to purchase 4 tickets. They would like 2 beef, 1 chicken & 1 veg. Currently they have have to select beef option and add 2 to their cart, then go back and add 1 chicken to cart and again go back to add 1 veg to cart before proceeding to checkout.
This is both tedious and confusing to the customer.
Ideally, I'd like to make it so they can simply choose 4 tickets to add to cart once and then be given options to select for the 4.
Hi @MurphysPubGOTL. Currently, there is something of a Catch-22 when it comes to doing this with Square. There are two reasons for this:
So, for now you are stuck. You can trust me when I say that you are not the only seller to find themselves in this dilemma. There have been various feature requests in this area, but so far no resolution. So, I can only think of one other workaround that might help alleviate the confusion of your customers. It has the virtue of being more obvious to help customers who are easily confused, but it will not get rid of the tedium, I’m afraid.
Instead of having one item called “Tickets” with variations (beef, chicken, etc), you could create multiple items called “Beef Dinner Ticket,” “Chicken Dinner Ticket,” etc. That would have the virtue of reducing the number of clicks needed to add an item to the cart, and it should be more obvious/intuitive.
Other than that, there is no truly “ideal” solution that you seek, for now. Let me know if you have any other questions.
