Hey SPOOPY_CANDLES,

We're all looking for the same support you are.  Just having a website is just the start.  The best advertising you can get is word of mouth and is the most cost effective solution for your bottom line.  Passing out business cards, flyers and offering local specials in your neighborhood is a good starting point.  And setting up various social media sites can't hurt either, for example - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Flicker, Vimeo, YouTube, Google Business, etc.  Sorry, there's no magic solution but, doing whatever you can will get your name out there helps.

Are you going to only focus on a Halloween theme, or will you change your item availability throughout the year? Is Instagram the only social media channel you use at this time?

So in my house we celebrate Halloween all year round. I know people love Halloween stuff. My scents are made for every holiday but my melts are strictly Halloween theme (hence the name Spoopy candles loll)

Do you have a website you can share with us?  Do you accept online ordering?  Where are you located?  Do you have a brick and mortar or online only?  Do you attend local farmers markets and craft events?  Are you involved in your local Chamber Of Commerce?  

There are so many great opportunities for networking and creating awareness for your business through your local Chamber Of Commerce via networking events and other monthly events that the Chamber puts on.  Be sure to bring business cards.

The local farmers markets can be a great, and inexpensive, way for you to reach an audience and candles do very well at these type of markets.  Especially with the holidays coming up.  Great gift giving and stocking stuffer opportunities for sales.

I do accept online orders ☺️ I’m located in Los Angeles, CA. Not sure what brick and mortal is, I work from home so if an order is placed either on the website, or through Instagram or email I make the order and send it out usually next day depending on how many items were ordered. I do not attend farmers markets just cause I don’t pre-make candles just in case they don’t sell, all of my stuff is made to order. Also no I am not involved in my local chamber of commerce. Hope that helps ☺️

Super cute!    I love these items.    I do see that you have a halloween and fall selection.  Be sure to get your Thanksgiving and Winter selection up asap.  Plus, people will be thinking about Valentines Day before you know it.

Brick and Mortar is another term for Physical Location.   Just a bunch of extra overhead that you probably don't need.

I have found, in the businesses that I have run in my life, that joining the local Chamber Of Commerce can be very beneficial.  It is a great way to network and spread the word about your business.    Finding opportunities to reach a group of people often and regularly, suddenly results in a bunch of customer evangelists spreading the word about your business, and that is what you want.

Since you are primarily an online business, focusing on your social media presence and email marketing would be beneficial.   Post your products to your facebook and instagram business pages, send out newsletters about new products, collect as many followers as you can get.  Invite people to like, share and talk about your products.  Perhaps even add a blog page on your website with exciting news and information about your products.  Additionally, you might want a page about you and your business telling us about you and what sets you apart.  Add some info to your website as well about how your products are made and why they are "made to order" (ie.  We make all of our products to order so that you get them fresh and able maintain their great smell through the season... or whatever wording makes sense for your business).  

Also, look at other websites of your competitors.  What kind of customer experience does their website provide to its customers. What do you like and not like about their website.  How can you begin to incorporate those things into your website.    What sets you apart.

Since you are online only, your website IS your storefront.  It must be inviting, captivating and informative.
