items coming up as not available despite fulliment /stock and availability showing

Hi there

 

i am having issues with my online store. A lot of the stock (adding within the past month) is now showing as unavailable. the fullfillment for each item seems to be OK as does the stock and visability of each item. I don't remember changing any settings

Hi @mikesox. This is an issue that I experience often. Although Square won’t address the issue, and I can’t say that I have found it direct explanation or solution, here are a couple things that I have found which may help:

1. I think I found a pattern where when a stock drops to zero and then later stock is added, the flag doesn’t flip, so the item stays as unavailable. You say, however, that you checked this in the item configuration. I would suggest flipping it back-and-forth once just to be sure it registers.

 

2. I have found that my “location” randomly becomes unavailable for online sales. Scroll down in the item configuration screen to where it shows the locations for that item. See if you see an exclamation mark. I have found that it randomly decides to complain that there is some problem with my address. Just following through the process to reconfirm the same address seems to fix the issue for a period of time.

3. Following the recent changes to the item configuration screen layout, I have found that many times I’ve accidentally put in the inventory count in the low stock alert field instead of the inventory count, just to its left. This is just me not paying attention, but I do it enough that I wanted to mention it in case you’re doing the same.
