first time user question

im new to this program and am struggling a little. 

Im not sure if im missing something but.....  Im watching tutorials for adding my items into the website. 

I have them added into my dashboard. Now all i want to do is drag them into my online website. Every tutorial ive seen everyone is adding the items again individually in the online section for the website. This means that the stock on hand numbers wont match up and nothing will update automatically as far as i know.  

any help please ?

The square online items exist in their own right within the square online dashboard but they are synced back to your square dashboard items. The reason they have their own entity within square online is to accomodate the additional square online information and functionality.

You can bulk sync them initially to get you going.
