eGift Card Discount expired, but still shows on each item?

Hello Square community,

I recently added a discount to all items using eGift Card discounts.  The discount expired, however the code is visible on each item.  It is not active, meaning it doesn’t do anything, but I’d like it removed.  Any advice on how to remove this will be greatly appreciated.

I have attached two screenshots showing discount expired and yet still visible.

Thanks,

Trevor

Hi @Luxejewelers,

I just took a look on my own test account. If you’re still seeing the discount code linger on your eGift Card link past the expiration date, try clicking the ellipses on the discount code > End > End Discount. Does that option appear for you?

If not, the next step would be to open your eGift link in an incognito browser. Sometimes your default browser holds onto an older version of the link that still includes the discount code.

If neither of these options works, please let us know here, and we’ll follow up with our team to get it resolved.

Hi Laurie,

Thanks for your reply.  I have resolved this issue.  I was able to reach customer service and me muddled our way through.  We found the following solution:

Go to Website Edit, Click on Featured Items, below my list of Featured Items is the Customize Section, and below that is Content.  Within Content there are Badges.  There was a Discount Badge that was toggled on.  Once I toggled it off, the box with Discount Code was removed from all items on my website.  How did creating a discount code using eGift cards create this?  I do not know.

I tried uploading screenshots, but your system will not let me.

Thanks for your follow up on this thread.

Thanks Summer2024,

I replied to Laurie above, and thought I had everything resolved.  Upon further testing, I've found that the discount code Luxe20 still shows on the scrolling “Similar Items” ticker.

I dove into the proverbial rabbit hole, and couldn't where to make changes to “Similar Items”.  Please advise if you know how to modify.

Thanks,

Trevor

Hey @Luxejewelers, appreciate you getting back to us!

I’m having a bit of trouble following along without screenshots or links to the pages you’re referencing. When replying here, you can upload an image by selecting the small camera icon above the text box.

Alternatively, sharing a link to the page on your website where you’re still seeing the discount applied would be very helpful.

If you’re still in contact with our Support Team, replying directly to their case will be the fastest way to get this resolved. Otherwise, we’ll keep an eye out for any screenshots or links so we can better understand what you’re seeing on your end. 🙂
