e-gift card funds removed

My client  a e gift card for $125 in Nov 23. I went to use it and there was a balance of $25. Somehow $100 was removed off the card. How can that happen?

You can track the transfer history of a gift card. You can find the instructions in this article

 

Gift cards can only be used at the business that issued the card. Funds cannot be removed from the card unless a purchase is made at the business or the balance is edited by a team member.

I am the only one that takes gift cards. I was not working the day the transaction took place. She bought an e gift card and somehow $100 was deducted.

You can locate all the Gift cards you have issued by logging in to your account and heading here

Select the Gift card you are experiencing issues with, then on the right-hand side panel, scroll down to Activity. You'll be able to see when and how much was loaded into a Gift card, as well as if any funds have been redeemed. If funds have been redeemed, you'll be able to access the receipt for that purchase. 

 

Let me know if you can locate the information. 

Only the merchant or team members can make changes to a Gift card balance, so funds being deducted without a purchase or access to your dashboard is not possible.
