Can we please get the option to require both CVV and billing zip on all online orders, and have the online system automatically decline cards if either is incorrect or a mismatch? I am so tired of people ordering food, disputing the charge, and winning because Square allowed the payment to go through in the first place. All they have to do is say they don't recall ordering food from my restaurant and they win the dispute. I have lost every single one of these. 

Also, I think it's obnoxious that Square takes ZERO liability in these disputes when their payment processing system approves the charge. 

If I try to order anything online on pretty much any website and provide an incorrect zip code or CVV my card gets declined. Why is Square allowing these charges and then putting me on the hook for being responsible for refunding the charge?

@TerrorTacos I am sorry you are going through this and it is very frustrating, but square does require zip and cvv when someone orders.  The problem you are running into is not square but the EMV shift that happened a few years ago.

When banks made the move to chip/tap cards, they shifted the liability to merchants on chargebacks for swiped or not in person transactions like online orders.  This is the banks policy not square.

What you may want to look into is square risk manager if you are really having a big issue with this.  I would first of all, keep track of any disputes and the address / name of the customer and watch for those to repeat.  If you see it, don't make the food and make them pay in person when they come in with a physical card.  I would refund the online and then re-ring it up in the store.
