continuing issues with sync errors.

This is an ongoing nightmare I'm having between the inventory showing in my squareup.com dashboard and my square.online dashboard.  Errors like these pop up randomly.  We usually don't know there is an issue until after a customer purchases an item on our website which we are out of stock.  This leads to the awkward (and far to frequent) phone call apologizing that we will be unable to fill the customers order.

What the heck his happening here!?!

Above: As the interface on both squareup.com and square.online continues to evolve, this is the first time I've seen this discrepancy visually on one window (typically you have been able to see the discrepancy by comparing the two dashboards)

HI, thank you for the screenshot.  There is a known sync issue with Square. Inventory adds on one dashboard only, not 2 on Square Dashboard and then 2 on Online Dashboard, platform will recognize as FOUR.  By adding inventory on the Online Dashboard the inventory will sync quicker.   In the screenshot above, inventory should be only TWO?

Easiest to remember

Stock Received: used when initially adding the item into inventory

Inventory Recount:  used when adding additional, updating etc

(other 3 as needed)

Known sync error becomes an issue if adding or updating inventory at the busiest time of the day.  Early AM or very late PM is best.  There are sellers with thousands within their inventory to upload slowing down the sync.

Hope this helps.

Thanks @Gold (Terri).  I understand this is an issue...  I suppose it's good that it's known.  I'm not sure what to do with your input regarding steps to take.  The functionality of the inventory tracking in the two dashboards is not the same, so I am not able to use one in place of the other.  There's no ability specify a cost of incoming goods.  Also I believe a lot of our trouble is coming from cancelled and refunded items from online orders.  There is no way I can keep track of 3000+ sku's manually (in order to make these changes at a time with less traffic).
