Why is my square so unreliable? Why does it say no network connection?

Do you have to buy a new square reader several times  year or something?  I always have trouble getting it to work these days.

Thank you for posting in the Community! 

Your magstripe reader should be lasting a lot longer than that. It usually depends how frequently you use it. I would say an average would be 2 years, at least. 

What kind of issues are you having with your readers?
