Hi, I am having trouble getting my products to show up in Google Shopping and search. For instance, I have a product:
That has been in my inventory for months. It is marked in my inventory as available in Google Shopping and it shows up in my Google channel listing as published. It also shows up in Google Merchant Center has published. But, when I search for it in Google using 'Turnstile Never Enough Periwinkle LP' I don't see it show up as either a Google search result or in Google Shopping. It's like it doesn't exist on the web. When I search for 'Turnstile Never Enough Periwinkle LP Purple Narwhal' it does show up but why doesn't it show with all my competitor's listings when I just search for the item?
Hi there, @will6,
Thanks for reaching out, and I understand how important it is to have your products show up in Google Shopping and search results alongside similar listings. From what you've shared, it sounds like you've done everything correctly on your end—your product is marked as available in Google Shopping, it shows as published in your Square Google channel, and it's visible in Google Merchant Center.
Google Shopping and Search results are determined by complex algorithms that take into account many factors like:
Product relevance and search terms
Website authority and domain history
Click-through rates and engagement
Pricing competitiveness
Structured data and product feed details
Even if your item is published, it may not appear in general search results unless it meets Google’s relevancy and ranking thresholds. We recommend checking Google Merchant Center for any subtle feed warnings or suggestions, also trying to share links to your product pages via social media or email campaigns to drive traffic. If there is anything else we can look at for you, please let us know.
