Why aren't text modifiers showing up on my customer's payment link?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: issue with modifier.

Hi, 

 

I am trying to give my customer the opportunity to enter player names and teams into a football registration link and the modifiers aren't showing on the checkout page.

 

I have added 3 modifiers which Ive saved and appear in the listing, but dont show on the actual page for the customer. I have looked through few other threads in here and watched a videos on using modifiers correctly and have followed the instructions yet it still isn't working. I can only feel I must be doing something wrong, although I have followed the steps as recommended and they do appear on the screen, just dont seem to transfer over to checkout page.

Please can you help me?

The new Payment Links experience no longer supports Text Modifiers. To collect player names, teams, or any other custom input, you can use Custom Fields instead. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and navigate to Payments > Payment Links.
  2. Click Create a Link, choose Sell an Item, then select your existing item or create a new one.
  3. Open Advanced settings and enable Custom fields.
  4. Enter a title for each field (for example, “Player Name” or “Team Name”) and click Add custom field.
  5. Click Create link. On the Payment Links page, copy the URL under Payments > Payment Links (rather than from the Item Library) and share it with your customers.


When your customers access the link, they’ll see the custom fields at checkout:
