I use Cloudflare for my website. My site has been working great with no downtime up until today. I woke up with my site being completely inaccessible with a 503 error. I tried everything I could to get my website back up with no luck. I then called Square Online Support where I found out that I can no longer proxy my site through Cloudflare. With ZERO notice in emails my site was rendered offline and now I have lost half of my security features and half of the features I implemented via Cloudflare. There is no good reason to be getting rid of Proxy support. I wish to have proxy support back. I switched my site to DNS only mode and I hope some of the features I had still work.
On another note, the representative couldn't even tell me why proxy support was removed.
I also have a twitter thread regarding this: https://twitter.com/R3Desired/status/149[Redacted]157697?s=20&t=0YkP1ckIZ76VWrPDlgOy9Q
Hi @r3desired Welcome to the Seller Community
I was not aware this was not allowed. Did you already reach out to Cloudflare to see if there was an issue on their end? I know there's still some classic Weebly sites that route their domain through Cloudflare without an issue, but I will need to see if I can get more details about Square Online specific sites.
It wasn't an issue on Cloudflare's end, I had to turn off proxied mode on the domain for my website to work again. If you need me to, I can try and enable proxied mode again to try and reproduce the issue. My site was working great up until I was told I was unable to proxy my site.
Hopefully we can get this fixed because I'm about to switch web builders if I can't get proxy support back.
