When will we finally get decimal quantities in Square Online?

Decimal quantities were introduced to Square in 2020 but six years later we're still waiting for Square Online to support them.

I've been dealing with a fragile connection to WooCommerce for two years and I've about had it. I have to do inventory every 3-4 months for a lot of my products because it constantly gets out of sync.

Is this on the roadmap at all? I have to say I'm sick of hearing that the team is working hard and adding new features all the time, with no definitive answer.

@shoneycutt +1 from me on this one. It is a pain. In order to keep my stock in line, i have built several “modifier” items which are component items that take .5, .33, etc, off of the main item. It is a workaround for me,

A question rather than an answer on the decimals: when you do your inventory every 3–4 months, how do you find which items drifted? Do you export both sides and compare, or walk the shelves and fix Woo by hand? I've been testing the sync with Square as the source of truth and count changes (including drops to zero) get pulled into Woo without any list of what changed, so I'm trying to work out how people who run it live catch that.

I'm also curious about decimals online as well. I own a fabric store, and in-store I can sell by metre decimals without issue (0.25, 0.5, 2.5, etc.). But when I see it online it's only a quantity of 1. This is ridiculous. I don't understand why the in person POS and online store have different variables. This needs to be fixed. If this was built with Claude Code it would be fixed already 😉
