What is the difference between items and service library?

I'm a Hair Stylist and have been using square now for about 2 years now. I've been listing all of my services in service library. I'm working on my website and wanted to make sure that I'm doing everything right. Can someone please tell me the difference between items and service library?

HI, an item library would be if your salon sells name brand shampoo, conditioner, hair brushes, side items such as jewelry, t-shirts, fashion accessories etc.  A service library would be haircut, hair color, brows, nails, etc.

Think of products as "items" and labor as "services".

I believe Im having the same issue! Some of my services are showing up as items... Hoping & wondering if you've found a solution by now
