Weebly question: https for a domain registered elsewhere

I enabled SSL when I first set up my free Weebly site. I later purchased a domain name from HostGator, and linked it to the site.

But I cannot get it to show as a secure site. HostGator says I have to go to Weebly. The Weebly support center has a procedure listed (entering IP address, etc.); but it only seems to be available when you first enable SSL - and at that time, I had only the Weebly domain name.

Any advice?

However, I didn't see anything saying it wasn't secured. Can you please share a screenshot of the error you are seeing?
