Website versus Online Store?

I'm totally confused... I have had square for several years. Had an online store, was able to create my items in my item library. I now have a paid square website (I think) and am having issues creating items. I create items then try to add them to my website and they aren't there to add... I don't know if I need to start back from scratch to make sure I'm actually using the website or the online store. I've confused myself more just by writing this. This is super frustrating as I'm usually pretty good at figuring all this out but it's just not computing with me. Any advice? My site is currently unpublished because of the total revamp.

Thanks for the mention, @JessPoynter, and hello @CraftySoul! I think we can get this sorted out, and I'll take a look at your website today. I would like to get a little more info from you as well - it will help if I can look at the specific areas where you had issues.:

- What is your website address? It's ok that it's not published right now - I just want to confirm I'm looking at the right thing.
- Where did you create the items? On the Square dashboard?
- Is this happening with *all* items, or only some of them?
- Can you share a couple of example items where you had this problem?

Thanks in advance! 😊

A few other questions. I offer pick-up but it is at my home and I would prefer to not have the address displayed publicly. We live in a VERY small town so it isn't an issue to communicate the address to those customers. Most will already know where I live anyway. Is there a way to do this?

Also, as far as when an order is ready... does this have to give a specific day/time at checkout or can I just have the range and that pickup orders will be contacted when ready. I'm still playing around with this so it may be something simple that I just haven't gotten to yet.

Hi @CraftySoul! Glad to hear you solved your original question! Also, nice work with craftysouldesigns.com so far - it looks neat, professional, and well-organized! 😊
Regarding pickup, I do not believe there is a way to hide or disable the pickup address at checkout - that's kind of the point of the feature, although in your case it doesn't make much sense. It might be easier for you to simply not use the pickup option at all and instead have your customers leave you a note at checkout to say they want to pick up the order. You could create a free shipping rate for your region that can be selected for "pickup" orders. If most of your business is local that would probably work. For the second part of your question, I am curious what you mean by order readiness. Are you custom-making items that take a certain amount of time to complete? I might have some ideas if you can give me a few more deets. 😊

Thanks for your reply. I figured out a work around to a few issues. I set all my items to digital instead of physical and that took care of the address issue.

My new question LOL is do you have any tips on how to combine shipping? If I charge a flat rate of $5 for my earrings and someone purchases 4 pair I don't want them charged $20 for shipping. I'd like it set up that $5 covers up to 4 pair of earrings before they are charged any additional shipping cost.

Hi again! You can combine shipping like that using a separate shipping profile for your earrings (or any items you want to ship this way). For detailed how-to steps, check out our support center article

I have a problem trying to set up an online shop, I think I may have started two different ones and can't seem to find the one I've done the most work on. I am registered with Square as MulchandMore but think I am trying to set the store up as MulchandMoreStudio.com and have the professional site plan. Can you help me find this again?
